Celebrate Canberra Day and support your community by joining in the Canberra Day Appeal Fun Run  on Monday 10 March, followed by a morning of entertainment in Commonwealth Park from 7.30am -11.30am. 

The Canberra Day Appeal Fun Run around Lake Burley Griffin will offer three distance options, with a 2.5km run which is perfect for families, children and those who would prefer to walk, a 5km run for those who would like more of a challenge and a 10km run for regular runners and the serious athletes. The 2.5km route will put the fun back into fun run with plenty of family entertainment along the way! The 5km and 10km runs will be timed and medals will be awarded to finishers.

Children under 11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on any of the run distances.

Profits from the entry fees will go to the Hands Across Canberra Canberra Day Appeal.

Give where you live and help our local charities who are there for those in need in our community.

There are so many worthy charities making a difference and changing lives right here in the ACT. They can only do their important work with support from the Canberra community. From now until Canberra Day, every $1 donated to a local Charity through the Canberra Day Appeal, will be doubled to $2 for the first $2,500 raised for charities with matched funding.

Canberrans are the most generous donors in the country, but many of our donations leave the territory. Through the Canberra Day Appeal every dollar you give will help a local charity provide food, housing, financial assistance, support and protection to Canberrans in need.
